Question:

: I did scan for the answer to this but didn't quite find what I was looking for. It may seem a little silly but it almost reminds me of a catch 22 condition. I noticed that you do have certain classes for puppies but can't register the JRTs until they're one year old, when I guess that they are no longer puppies! If I can't register my little girl until she's one, how can I enter her into some of the puppy classes?
: I'm a resent new JRTCA member just in case you're wondering.... :-)
: Thanks in advance,
: Skiff Weeden

Hi Skiff,
Dogs do not have to be registered to show in a JRTCA event, but their owners have to be members. Dogs over 1 year must be registered or recorded to participate at the National event, but since dogs under 1 year are not eligible for JRTCA registration, the registration restriction for Nationals does not apply to them.
So, the story is, you CAN enter puppy classes. Just fill out your event registration form, send it in and go have fun!
